Investigatory powers — witnesses

1. The director may exercise the following powers in an investigation: a. Summon and compel the attendance of witnesses. b. Examine the witnesses under oath, which the director may administer. c. Have access to all books, papers, and property material to the investigation. d. Order the production of books or papers material tothe investigation. 2. Witnesses other than those in the employ of the state are entitled to the same fees as in civilcases in the district court. CS83, §217A.43 CS85, §246.403 C93, §904.403
