An officer or person who is connected with, or isa member or agent or representative of a commission, board, committee, officer or other governing body of this state, or of any county, township, school district, city, or contractor, who failsto give preference as required in this chapter is guilty of a simple misdemeanor. Each separate case of failure to give preference is a separate offense.
