The avails of any life or accident insurance, or other sum of money made payable to the decedent’s estate by any mutual aid or benevolent society upon the death or disability of a member thereof, arenot subject to the debts of the decedent, except by contract or by express provision in the will, and shall be disposed of like other property leftby the decedent.
