If the debtor or the debtor’s assignee fails to redeem, the sheriff then in office must, at the end of the period for redemption provided by law for the particular action, execute a deed to the person who isentitled to the certificate as provided in section 626.95, or to that person’s assignee. If the person entitled is dead, the deed shall be made to the person’s heirs.
