1. In a county having a population of one hundred twenty-five thousand or more, the judges of the juvenile court may appoint a physician and a nurse, prescribe their duties, and remove them. 2. Appointees shall receive salaries and shall be reimbursed for expenses incurred in the performance of duties, as prescribed by the supreme court.
