1. The clerk of the supreme court or a deputy of that clerk shall act as clerk of the court of appeals. The clerk of the court of appeals shall keep a complete record of the proceedings of that court, shall collect the fees and costs prescribed by the supreme court, and shall account for allreceipts and disbursements of the court of appeals. 2. The clerk of the supreme court, subject to the approval of the supreme court, may employ additional staff for the performance of duties relating to the court of appeals.
