1. Judicial officers shall cease to hold office upon reaching the mandatory retirement age. a. The mandatory retirement age is seventy-eight years for all justices of the supreme court, judges of the court of appeals, and district judges. b. The mandatory retirement age is seventy-eight years for all district associate judges, associate juvenile judges, associate probate judges, and judicial magistrates. 2.
