Where the certificate of the secretary of the interior or the patents cover real estate situated in more than one county, the secretary of state shall, upon the application of any railroad company or itsgrantee, prepare and furnish, to be recorded, alist ofall the realestate situated in any one county so granted, patented, or certified; and allsuch evidences of title shall be entered by the auditor upon the index, transfer, and plat books.
