1. When a state credit union has been organized by the employees of the state or any political subdivision of the state, the officer who writes warrants for the state or other governmental body by which any public employee state credit union member isemployed, may withhold from the salary or wages of the employee, and pay over to such state credit union, sums as may be designated by written authorization signed by the employee. 2. The provisions of section 539.4 shall have no application to this section.
