The superintendent may appoint examiners and other employees, including for the banking division’s internal information technology group, as the superintendent deems necessary to the proper discharge of the duties imposed upon the superintendent by the laws of this state. Pay plans shall be established for employees, other than clerical employees, who examine the accounts and affairs of state banks and who examine the accounts and affairs of other persons, subject to supervision and regulation by the superintendent, which are substantially equivalent to those paid by the federal deposit insurance corporation and other federal supervisory agencies in this area of the United States. §13; 2023 Acts, ch 19, §2025
