Iowa Code § 490.501

Registered office and agent of domestic and registered foreign corporations

1. Each corporation shall continuously maintain in this state all of the following: a. A registered office that may be the same as any of its places of business. b. A registered agent, which may be any of the following: (1) An individual who resides in this state and whose business office isidentical with the registered office. (2) A domestic or foreign corporation or eligible entity whose business office is identical with the registered office and, in the case of a foreign corporation or foreign eligible entity, isregistered to do business in this state. 2. As used in this subchapter, “corporation” means both a domestic corporation and a registered foreign corporation.
