The creation and maintenance of moneys in the fire and police retirement fund as provided forthe payment of allpensionsandother benefits granted under the provisions ofthis chapter andall expenses in connectionwith theadministration and operation ofthe retirement system are hereby made direct liability obligationsof the cities participatingin the retirement system.
