Refractory prisoners

Ifany person confined in a jailis refractory or disorderly or willfully destroys or injures any part of the jail or of itscontents, the sheriff may secure the person or cause the person to be kept in solitary confinement not more than ten days for any one offense, during which time the person may be fed minimum diet requirements as established by the Iowa department of corrections unless other food is necessary for the preservation of the person’s health.
