Rural services fund

1. Except as otherwise provided by state law, county revenues from taxes and other sources for rural county services shall be credited to the rural services fund of the county. 2. The board may make appropriations from the rural services fund for rural county services, including but not limited to the following: a. Road clearing, weed eradication, and other expenses incurred under chapter 317. b. Maintenance of a county library and library contracts under chapter 336. c. Planning, operating, and maintaining sanitary disposal projects under chapter 455B. d. Services listed under section 331.424, subsection 2. 3. Appropriations specifically authorized tobe made from the rural services fund shall not be made from the general fund, but may be made from other sources.
