1. The board, at its first meeting in each year, shall choose one of its members as chairperson who shall preside at all of its meetings during the year. The board may also select a vice chairperson who shall serve during the absence of the chairperson. 2. The auditor shall serve as clerk to the board unless the board, with the consent of the auditor, appoints a permanent clerk. In the absence of the auditor, the auditor’s designee as clerk, or the permanent clerk, the board may appoint a temporary clerk. The permanent or temporary clerk appointed by the board shall provide the auditor with all information necessary for the auditor to carry out the requirements of section 331.504.
