Secret societies and fraternities

Itshall be unlawful for any pupil, registered as such, and attending any public high school, district,primary, or graded school, which is partially or wholly maintained by public funds, to join,become a member of, or to solicit any other pupil of any such school to join, or become a member of, any fraternity or society wholly or partially formed from the membership of pupils attending any such schools, or to take part in theorganization or formation of any such fraternity or society, except such societies or associations as are sanctioned by the directors of such schools.
