1. a. Publicschool employees aregranted leave of absence for medically relateddisability with full pay in the following minimum amounts: (1) The first year of employment.....................................10days. (2) The second year of employment................................11days. (3) The third year of employment ...................................12days. (4) The fourth year of employment .................................13days. (5) The fifth year of employment.....................................14days. (6) The sixth and subsequent years of employment ......15days. b. The above amounts shall apply only to consecutive years of employment in the same school district and unused portions shall be cumulative to at least a total of ninety days. The school board shall, in each instance, require such reasonable evidence as itmay desire confirming the necessity for such leave of absence. 2. Nothing in this section shall be construed aslimiting the right of a school board to grant more time than the days herein specified. 3. Cumulation of sick leave under this section shall not be affected or terminated due to the organization or dissolution of a community school district or districts which include all or the portion ofthe district whichemployed theparticularpublic school employeefor the school year previous to the organization or dissolution, ifthe employee is employed by one of the community school districts for the first school year following its organization or dissolution. 4. Any amounts due an employee under this section shall be reduced by benefits payable under sections 85.33 and 85.34, subsection 1.
