Livestock health advisory council — creation and membership

1. A livestock health advisory council iscreated to support research of livestock diseases conducted by the college of veterinary medicine. 2. The council shall consist of all of the following: a. Three cattle producers appointed by the Iowa cattlemen’s association, one of whom shall servean initialterm of one year, and one of whom shall serve an initialterm oftwo years. b. Threeswine producers appointedby the Iowa pork producersassociation, one ofwhom shall serve an initial term of one year. c. One sheep producer appointed by the Iowa sheepproducers association who shall serve an initial term of one year. d. One poultry producer appointed by the north central poultry association who shall serve an initial term of two years. e. One turkey producer appointed by the Iowa turkey federation who shall serve an initial term of three years. f. One milk producer appointed by the Iowa state dairy association who shall serve an initialterm of two years. g. One practicing veterinarian appointed by the Iowa veterinary medical association.
