The Iowa agricultural experiment station at Iowa state university of science and technology shall conduct horticultural research to identify and improve fruits and vegetables which can be effectively grown in Iowa to provide more diversity for Iowa agriculture. The experiment station shall investigate production, marketing, and management techniques, adaptability, and horticultural potential of the fruits and vegetables for both processing and for fresh market sale.
