Public broadcasting division created — administrator — duties

1. The public broadcasting division of the department of education is created. The chief administrative officer of the division isthe administrator who shall be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the Iowa public broadcasting board. The board shall set the division administrator’s salary within the applicable salary range established by section 8A.461. Educational programming shall be the highest priority of the division. The division shall be governed by the national principles of editorial integrity developed by the editorial integrity project. The director of the department of education and the state board of education are not liable for the activities of the division of public broadcasting. 2. The administrator shall do all of the following: a. Direct and organize the activities of the division. b. Submit a biennial report to the governor on the activities and an evaluation of the division and itsprograms and policies. c. Control all property of the division. d. Perform other duties imposed by law. §163, 168
