for the deaf — leave. Salaried employees of the Iowa educational services for the blind and visually impaired program and employees of the Iowa school for the deaf who are employed on a school year basis for less than twelve months per year shall be exempt from the provisions of chapter 70A relating to vacation leave. In lieu of vacation leave, such employees shall accrue two personal leave days per school year and may carry over up to one unused personal day into a subsequent school year. Such employees shall not accrue more than three personal leave days at any one time. Such leave shall not be paid out to the employee upon separation from employment.
