1. Ifa child is taken intocustody andnotreleased as provided in section232.19, subsection 2, the child shall immediately be taken to a detention or shelter care facility as specified in sections 232.21 or 232.22. 2. Whena child isadmitted to a detention or shelter care facility the person in charge of the facility or the person’s designated representative shall notify the court, the child’s attorney, and the child’s parent, guardian, or custodian as soon as possible of the admission and the reasons for that admission.
