Any person who violates any provision of this chapter, or any rule of the department, or who shall hinder or attempt tohinder the department or any duly authorized agent or official thereof inthe dischargeof that person’s duty, shall be fined in asum not less than one hundred dollars nor more than five hundred dollars.
