As used in this part, unless the context otherwise requires: 1. “Animal” means any livestock or agricultural animal as defined in section 717A.1. 2. “Interested person” means the owner of an animal; a person caring for the animal, if different from the owner of the animal; or a person holding a perfected agricultural lien or security interest in the animal under chapter 554.
