1. Two years after the establishment of a district, a referendum for the termination of the district shall be held if ten percent of the eligible voters in the district so request. Ifthe registered voters, by a majority of those voting, favor termination, sections 15.445 through 15.457 will no longer have any effect on the property formerly included in the district. 2. Ifan election is held to terminate a district under this section and such attempt fails, another referendum for termination of the district in question shall not take place for aperiod of two years.
