Technology commercialization committee

To evaluate and make recommendations to the authority on appropriate funding for the projects and programs applying for financial assistance from the innovation and commercialization development fund created in section 15.412, the economic development authority shall create a technology commercialization committee composed of members with expertise in the areas of biosciences, engineering, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, materials, information solutions, software, and energy. At least one member of the technology commercialization committee shall be a member of the economic development authority. An organization designated by the authority, composed of members from both the public and private sectors and composed of subunits or subcommittees in the areas of already identified bioscience platforms, education and workforce development, commercialization, communication, policy and governance, and finance,shall provide fundingrecommendations tothe technology commercialization committee. Members of the committee shall be eligible for a per diem as specified in section 7E.6 for each day spent in performance of duties as members, and shall receive compensation for mileage to and from meetings. ch 1170, §147
