1. The general assembly finds that economic development is an important public purpose and that both the public and private sectors have a shared interest in fostering the economic vitalityof the state. Therefore, itis the purpose of this subchapter to implement economic development policy in the state by means of a collaboration between government and the private sector. 2. The collaboration shall involve the economic development authority and the bioscience development corporation, which shall work together to further economic development policy according to the provisions of this subchapter. §18
