Itshall be the duty of all common carriers, or corporations, or persons who shall for hire carry any alcoholic liquor, wine, or beer into the state, or from one point to another within the state, for the purpose of delivery, and who shall deliver such alcoholic liquor, wine, or beer to any person, company, or corporation, to maintain a proper record of the name of the consignor of each shipment of alcoholic liquor, wine, or beer from where shipped, the date of arrival,the quantity and kind of alcoholic liquor, wine, or beer, so faras disclosed by lettering on the package or by the carrier’s records, and to whom and where consigned, and the date delivered.
