Record and payment of warrants

The treasurer of state shall keep a record of warrants issued as certified by the director of the department of administrative services, and receivein payment ofpublic dues thewarrants so issued in conformity with law, and redeem the same, ifthere be money in the treasury not otherwise appropriated, and on receiving any such warrant shall cause the person presenting itto endorse it,and shall indicate on itsface in a suitable manner that ithas been redeemed, and keep a record of warrants redeemed showing the name of the person to whom paid, date of payment, and amount of interest paid.
