Sec. 5. (a) The bureau shall add a for-hire endorsement to a driver's license if the holder meets the following conditions: (1) Is at least eighteen (18) years of age. (2) Has held a valid driver's license for more than one (1) year. (3) Makes a proper application in a form and manner prescribed by the bureau. (4) Satisfactorily passes a written test approved by the bureau. (5) Pays a fee of nineteen dollars ($19). The fee shall be distributed as follows: (A) Fifty cents ($0.50) to the state motor vehicle technology fund. (B) One dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) to the motor vehicle highway account. (C) One dollar and twenty-five cents ($1.25) to the integrated public safety communications fund. (D) Sixteen dollars ($16) to the commission fund. (b) The bureau may impose an additional fee of twenty-five dollars ($25) if the bureau processes an application for a physical credential under this chapter in a period of time that is shorter than the normal processing period. The bureau shall deposit the fee in the commission fund. (c) A fee imposed under this section is in addition to any other fee imposed under this chapter.
