Sec. 25. In the absence of fraud or bad faith, a person who releases or provides evidence or information under this chapter to any of the following is immune from civil or criminal liability for providing that evidence or information: (1) The superintendent of the state police or the superintendent's designee. (2) The attorney general or the attorney general's designee. (3) The city police chief or the city police chief's designee. (4) The county sheriff or the county sheriff's designee. (5) The prosecuting attorney or the prosecuting attorney's designee responsible for prosecutions in the county that has jurisdiction of the auto theft. [Pre-1991 Recodification Citation: 9-1-3.6-13.]
