Sec. 1. For the purposes of this chapter, the operation of a vehicle or combination of vehicles in violation of a limitation in IC 9-20-4 , IC 9-20-5 , or IC 9-20-11 is a continuing offense and the venue for prosecution lies in a county in which the unlawful operation occurred. However, a conviction or acquittal in one (1) county bars a prosecution in another county. [Pre-1991 Recodification Citation: 9-8-1-13(a).]
