Indiana Code § 9-18.1-14-4

Fee; term of validity

Sec. 4. (a) The fee to register an off-road vehicle or snowmobile is thirty dollars ($30). The fee shall be deposited in the off-road vehicle and snowmobile fund established by IC 14-16-1-30 .       (b) The registration of an off-road vehicle or a snowmobile under this chapter is valid until the earlier of the following: (1) Three (3) years from the date of registration or renewal under this chapter. (2) The date on which the off-road vehicle or snowmobile is sold or transferred to another person. The bureau may designate an expiration month that aligns with the schedule of expiration dates described in IC 9-18.1-11-1 . However, the registration period must be at least thirty-six (36) months and not more than forty-eight (48) months for a given registration or renewal.       (c) If a person sells or otherwise disposes of an off-road vehicle or snowmobile: (1) the certificate of registration and decals for the off-road vehicle or snowmobile are canceled; and (2) except as provided in IC 9-33-3 , the person is not entitled to a refund of any unused part of a fee paid by the person under this section.       (d) A person that acquires an off-road vehicle or a snowmobile that is registered under this chapter must apply to the bureau under this chapter to register the off-road vehicle or snowmobile.
