Sec. 4. A certificate of title issued under this chapter must contain the following: (1) A description and other evidence of identification of the vehicle as required by the bureau. (2) A statement of any liens or encumbrances that the application shows to be on the certificate of title. (3) The appropriate notation prominently recorded on the title as follows: (A) For a vehicle that is assembled using all new or used vehicle parts that does not resemble a specific manufacturer make or model: (i) "RECONSTRUCTED VEHICLE", if the certificate of title is issued before January 1, 2019; or (ii) "SPECIALTY CONSTRUCTED VEHICLE", if the certificate of title is issued after December 31, 2018. (B) For a vehicle: (i) with a body built to resemble and be a reproduction of another vehicle of a given year that was manufactured at least twenty-five (25) years in the past; and (ii) that is assembled using all new or used parts; "SPECIALTY CONSTRUCTED VEHICLE", if the certificate of title is issued before January 1, 2019, or "REPLICA VEHICLE", if the certificate of title is issued after December 31, 2018. (C) For a vehicle that has been permanently altered from its original construction by adding, removing, or substituting major component parts, "RECONSTRUCTED".
