Membership of commission board

Sec. 2. The commission board acts on behalf of the commission and consists of the following five (5) members: (1) Four (4) individuals, not more than two (2) of whom may be members of the same political party, who are appointed by the governor. An individual appointed under this subdivision: (A) serves for a term of four (4) years; (B) may not hold any other public office or serve as a state or local employee while serving as a commission board member; and (C) shall devote as much time as is needed to carry out the commission board's obligations, but is not required to devote full time to the commission board. (2) The commissioner, who: (A) shall serve as chair of the commission board; and (B) is responsible for calling commission board meetings. [Pre-2016 Revision Citation: 9-15-1-2(a).]
