Powers of commission board

Sec. 2. The commission board may do the following: (1) Procure insurance against any loss in connection with the commission's operations in the amount the commission board considers necessary or desirable. (2) Contract with a qualified person: (A) to serve as a full service provider under IC 9-14.1-3-1 ; (B) to serve as a partial services provider under IC 9-14.1-3-2 ; or (C) for other services to process specific transactions as outlined by the commission. (3) Notwithstanding IC 5-16 , IC 5-17-1 , and IC 5-22 , develop a system of procurement that applies only to procurement of equipment, materials, services, and goods required for the operation of license branches under IC 9-14.1 . (4) Either: (A) develop a retirement program for managers and employees of license branches; or (B) cause managers and employees of license branches to be members of the public employees' retirement fund ( IC 5-10.3-7 ). (5) Enter into lease agreements as necessary for office space, storage space, and parking facilities for license branches under IC 9-14.1 . (6) Take any other action necessary to achieve the commission's purpose.
