Indiana Code § 9-13-2-159

"Safety zone"

Sec. 159. "Safety zone" means the area or space officially set apart within a roadway for the exclusive use of pedestrians and that is protected or is so marked or indicated by adequate signs as to be plainly visible at all times. [Pre-1991 Recodification Citation: 9-4-1-17.]
