Indiana Code § 9-13-2-106

"Motor vehicle liability policy"

Sec. 106. "Motor vehicle liability policy" means an owner's policy of liability insurance or an operator's policy of liability insurance that: (1) is issued, except as provided in IC 9-25-5-10 , by an insurance carrier duly authorized to transact business in Indiana to or for the benefit of the person named in the policy as insured; and (2) insures against liability resulting from the ownership, maintenance, use, or operation of a motor vehicle.
