Sec. 16. "Recreational trail" means a trail or path that: (1) includes a corridor along any part of its length; (2) is intended to be used for: (A) bicycling; (B) exercising; (C) hiking; (D) running; (E) riding: (i) in or on a vehicle of any kind, regardless of the means of propelling the vehicle; or (ii) on any animal; (F) walking; or (G) any other recreational purpose; and (3) is funded through the recreational trails program under IC 8-4.5-5 . However, the term does not include a highway, road, or street (as defined in IC 8-23-1-23 ).
