Agreements with agencies of federal government or of another state; adoption of rules or orders of other agencies

Sec. 7. (a) The department may, subject to the approval of the governor, enter into an agreement or understanding with the United States Department of Transportation, any other appropriate agency of federal government, or any other department or agency of another state, for the purpose of more effective regulation of motor carriers.       (b) In the furtherance of uniformity in the regulation of motor carriers, the department may by order or rule adopt orders, standards, or rules and regulations of the United States Department of Transportation, any other appropriate agency of the federal government, or another state or states as they affect motor carriers, whether or not specifically referred to under this chapter.
