Sec. 9. (a) The first trustees of the toll road authority shall, within thirty (30) days after their appointment, meet at a time and place designated by the circuit court for the county for the purpose of electing officers. The trustees shall elect from among themselves a president, a vice president, and a secretary. Each of these officers shall serve from the date of election until the first Monday in January after election, and holds over until a successor is elected and qualified. (b) At the meeting required by this section, the trustees shall appoint the first board of directors of the toll road authority, as prescribed by section 11 of this chapter. (c) After appointing the first board of directors of the toll road authority, the trustees shall meet on the first Monday in January of each year for the purpose of: (1) electing officers; (2) appointing the directors of the toll road authority; and (3) performing any other duties under this chapter.
