Indiana Code § 8-1-32.3-8

"Permit authority"

Sec. 8. As used in this chapter, "permit authority" means a unit, a board, a commission, or any other governing body that makes legislative or administrative decisions concerning the construction, installation, modification, or siting of wireless facilities or wireless support structures. The term does not include: (1) the Indiana department of transportation; (2) the Indiana finance authority; (3) the state or any of its agencies, departments, boards, commissions, authorities, or instrumentalities; (4) the director of the department of natural resources; or (5) a court or other judicial body that reviews decisions or rulings made by a permit authority.
