Written notice requirements

Sec. 5. A written notice under this chapter must comply with the following: (1) The notice must be sent by certified mail. (2) The notice must state the following: (A) The effective date of the amendment of, cancellation of, termination of, or refusal to renew the distribution agreement. (B) The: (i) nature of; and (ii) reason for; the amendment of, cancellation of, termination of, or refusal to renew the distribution agreement. In the case of a notice provided by a primary source of supply under section 2 or 3 of this chapter, the notice must state the reason that constitutes good cause for purposes of those sections.
