Sec. 27. (a) Notwithstanding any other provision of this article, a retailer permittee who is required to comply with the gross food and beverage sales, or gross food sales, standards contained in this article as a condition of receiving, continuing to hold, or renewing, the permittee's permit, or otherwise doing business, may attest to the permittee's compliance with those standards by filing an affidavit of compliance with the commission.       (b) The affidavit of compliance authorized by subsection (a) must be in writing and signed by the permittee, or by a responsible officer or partner, under the penalties of perjury, that the representations contained in it are true.       (c) If the commission has reasonable grounds to doubt the truthfulness of an affidavit filed pursuant to subsection (a), it may require the permittee to support it by audited financial statements. If the audited financial statements do not support the affidavit and show the required compliance with the applicable standards of this article, the commission may revoke the permit.
