Sec. 5. (a) A person may apply to a designating body to designate an area as a brownfield revitalization zone. (b) An application under this section must: (1) be submitted to the designating body before the initiation of a voluntary remediation under IC 13-25-5 ; (2) include sufficient information for the designating body to declare the area a zone; and (3) be in the form prescribed by the department of local government finance.
