Reassessment order

Sec. 6. If the department of local government finance determines that a petition filed under section 5.5 of this chapter has been signed by the required number of petitioners and that the present assessed value of any real property is inequitable, the department of local government finance shall order a reassessment of the real property for which the petition was filed. The order shall specify the time within which the reassessment shall be completed and the date on which the reassessment shall become effective.
