Articles of impeachment

Sec. 3. When an officer is impeached by the house of representatives for crime, incapacity, or negligence in office, the articles of impeachment must be delivered to the president of the senate, saving and excepting only that in case the officer impeached be the governor, lieutenant-governor, or the acting president of the senate, such articles shall be delivered to the secretary of the senate.
