Amount of awards; joint payments

Sec. 35. (a) An award to a claimant under this chapter: (1) may not exceed fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000); and (2) may not cover the first one hundred dollars ($100) of the claim.       (b) The part of an award covering an unpaid bill shall be made payable to the service provider.
