Effect of negative vote in referenda

Sec. 5. Effect of Negative Vote in Referenda. (a) If in a referendum the vote of the majority is negative, no member of the retirement system may be included in a modification of the agreement.       (b) A subsequent referendum may be conducted upon the request of the board or governing body. However, no subsequent referendum may be conducted until one (1) year after a prior referendum.
