Indiana Code § 4-30-5-6

Sec. 6. If a person files a petition to assign a lottery prize payment under IC 34-28-9.2 and the person has had debts to a state agency, the director shall: (1) investigate whether the person has any outstanding debts to a state agency; and (2) submit a letter, within fifteen (15) days after receiving the petition, to the petitioner and the court in which the petition is filed that: (A) references the cause number of the petition to assign a lottery prize payment; and (B) states whether the person has or has not satisfied debts to a state agency.   IC 4-30-6 Chapter 6.
